Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Bumply, a macOS application made by Revelio LLC ("we", "us"), a Wyoming limited liability company. By installing or using Bumply you agree to them.

1. What you are buying

A licence to use Bumply, not the software itself, together with one year of updates from the date of purchase.

The licence is perpetual: it does not expire, and the version you have keeps working for as long as you want to use it, with no renewal and nothing recurring. What the year covers is new versions. When it ends, Bumply does not stop and nothing is taken away — you simply stay on the last version released inside your window until you choose to renew.

You may activate Bumply on up to three Macs you own or control, for your own use or the use of your business. Removing the licence from a Mac frees its place, so changing machine needs no permission from us. You may not resell it, redistribute it, or share your licence with people outside your organisation.

2. Free, and the trial

Bumply is free for three projects, with no time limit and without an account. There is no wall: the app does not stop working, and nothing is deleted, if you never buy a licence. It keeps watching the three oldest projects in your list, and a licence lifts that limit.

For the first seven days after you install it, every project is covered rather than three, so you can judge Bumply on all of your work. When those days are up nothing is sent anywhere and nothing is removed — the app settles into the free tier described above.

3. Who you are buying from

Orders are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd, which is the merchant of record and therefore the seller of the transaction. Your purchase is also subject to Paddle's buyer terms. Paddle handles payment, invoicing, and the collection and remittance of any sales tax or VAT.

4. What Bumply does to your computer

Bumply reads your projects, runs your package manager, and can modify your dependency manifest and lockfile when you ask it to. It is a tool that changes files, so it is worth being precise about the limits it observes:

• It shows you the exact command before running anything.
• It backs up your manifest and lockfile before an update and restores them byte-for-byte if the update fails.
• It refuses to run an update while those files have uncommitted changes.
• It only runs scripts your project already defines. It never invents a command.
• It never writes to your git history: nothing is committed, nothing is stashed.
• Anything it removes goes to the Trash, not to permanent deletion.

You remain responsible for your own backups and for reviewing the changes you approve. Bumply is careful, but it operates on your code at your instruction.

5. Your responsibilities

• Use Bumply lawfully, and only on projects you are entitled to modify.
• Do not attempt to circumvent the licence, or distribute means of doing so.
• Do not decompile or reverse engineer the app, except where that right cannot be excluded by law.

6. Updates

Your purchase includes every version released in the year following it. We are not obliged to release any particular update, to support any particular version of macOS indefinitely, or to keep every feature forever.

After that year you may renew to receive further versions. Renewing is optional, and choosing not to renew never disables the software you already have.

7. Warranty

Bumply is provided as is. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will identify every outdated or vulnerable dependency. Security advisories come from your package manager's audit data and are only as complete as that data.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, and consumers in the European Union and elsewhere have statutory rights that these terms do not affect. Nothing here limits those rights.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to Bumply is limited to the amount you paid for your licence in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for lost profits, lost data, or indirect or consequential damages.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

9. Ending the agreement

You may stop using Bumply at any time; deleting the app ends this agreement. We may terminate your licence if you materially breach these terms — in practice, if you distribute cracked copies or licence keys. If we do, and you did not breach them, we will refund you.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules, and the courts of Wyoming have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, or of the right to bring proceedings there.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms for future purchases. The terms that apply to your licence are the ones published on the day you bought it, and this page shows when it was last changed.
